Howdy!  Welcome to the Episcopal Student Center also called Canterbury House.

The Episcopal  Student Center is a safe place where all are welcome!  We worship God, respect  scholarship, have fun, think of others, seek God and eat well!

Help us get to know you by filling out the student information card under the "About Us" heading.   We will update you by email about all the activities going on during the year.

Our regular activities include but are not limited to: Worship, (Holy Eucharist & Taize), Bible studies, family-style dinners, Popcorn Theology, book study, open mic nights, community outreach projects, study sessions, & Sbisa lunch bunch.

In addition each year we offer a Christmas Break Ski trip to Colorado, a Spring Break mission trip and either a Summer mission trip or a Spiritual Pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral and other sites in England & Ireland.

This Christmas Break we will be traveling to Estes Park to the National Gathering of Episcopal College Students.

Activities are organized by student led ministry teams.  The teams are led by president Jason Staggs and College Missioner The Reverend Sandi Mizirl.  The teams include: Worship, Fellowship, Outreach, Hospitality, and Christian Formation/Spiritual Development.  You can read more about these teams under the Ministry Teams heading and learn how you can get involved.

As Anglicans we hold the Scriptures to be our primary source of authority, but not isolated from reason and tradition.  We support biblical scholarship and allow science to inform us about the world as we seek to use all God's gifts to help inform and guide us in seeking the will of God, the courage to pursue it and the grace to accomplish it, being guided by the Holy Spirit.

We are a mission of the congregations of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and are funded from the Missionary Budget of the congregations within the Diocese.  We are one of 17 college missions within the diocese.
