Cafe Canterbury

Open weekly Sundays, Mondays & Tuesdays from 6pm-Midnight,  & Wednesdays from 8pm-midnight, 902 George Bush Drive, across from Duncan Field. We serve FREE fair trade coffee drinks, tea, WiFi, & home baked goodies; a great place to meet friends or study.

Canterbury House is a safe place where all are welcome. The student fellowship worships God, respects scholarship, has fun, thinks of others, seeks God, and eats well!

I hope you are finding our web page interesting and will consider filling out an information card so we can get you connected with what's happening around here throughout the year.

We worship together on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm followed by a free family style dinner and Sunday nights there is a contemporary service at 5:30pm. Both services are held in St. Thomas Episcopal Chruch next door to Canterbury House.

Join us on our Spring Break Mission Trip to Belize or our Summer Spiritual Pilgrimage to Italy where we will walk in the footsteps of St. Clare and St. Francis in Assisi and then hear the stories of the first century Christians in Rome. In the spring we offer a campout with students from other colleges and universities in Texas.  Our diocesan bishop, Bishop Doyle will be our speaker this spring at Camp Allen, just outside Navasota, Texas.  We offer a Saturday morning seminar on etiquette each year that is very popular with students.  During Lent we sponsor a silent retreat experience.

Bring your ideas, questions and energy! Join us on the college adventure.

College life can be frustrating, scary, overwhelming, and finding a place to feel welcome and safe can be illusive. There is a great group of students at the Episcopal Student Center who want to help you anyway they can. Contact any of our ministry coaches or Rev. Sandi Mizirl our college missioner. We want to help you get connected in a way that will support and encourage you through the college maze.
